Gradient Yarn: Road Trippin'

I hope you are like me and never get tired of your favorite designers.  This next pattern idea comes from two of my fav and my best, Marcy Vandale & Debbi Stone, who publish together under Adventure du Jour Designs.

Road Trippin' is a long cowl originally designed with Black Trillium Fibres Prime and featured in our Black Sheep Gathering 2015 booth.  You can see my original sample, made with Fjord and Natural, right here on Ravelry.

This pattern features a deceptively simple slipped stitch pattern that is very easy to memorize but yields a highly textured finish.  To adapt the design to use your gradient yarn stash, you'll first need to read through the entire instructions.  To make this project you'll need either one of the following combinations:

- one 100g skein of Lilt Sock & one Lilt Sock gradient

- one 100g skein of Pebble Sock & one Pebble Sock gradient

For purposes of the pattern, the gradient is color A and your 100g skein is color B.  Start the pattern with the lightest shade, and knit 3 repeats of the Diamond Tweed pattern per gradient shade.  Follow the pattern instructions while also following our color change and pattern repeat modifications and pretty soon you'll have yourself a wonderful, wearable FO great for 3 seasons a year!

Thanks so much for joining us on another Monday Gradient Yarn Ideas post.  We're freshly back from Black Sheep Gathering 2016 today and will be at the studio tomorrow to play catch up and do inventory.  Have a great week!
